Requirements
- Qualified accountant certification.
- Professional audit background.
- Experience in financial accounting and control, ideally outside of practice.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of the banking and regulatory landscape and key financial controls.
- Self-starter capability with a proactive approach to operational tasks.
- Ability to translate complex information into simple language.
- Interest in leveraging data and technology for process improvement.
- Experience with SQL is a bonus.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a tight process with the internal Finance team to ensure a swift month-end close process, including leases, accruals, inventory, and group consolidation.
- Write insightful management commentary based on business and product understanding.
- Work with engineers and data teams to automate production elements and optimize reporting systems.
- Learn and apply SQL skills to run reports and improve process scalability.
- Maintain and develop controls to protect financial data and ensure balance sheet substantiation.
- Support year-end processes, audit interactions, and the Financial Reporting squad.
- Review and implement accounting for new products and assess the impact of changes in accounting standards.
- Maintain the integrity of the chart of accounts and financial static data.
