Requirements
- 6–8+ years of legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house environment focused on commercial real estate leasing and operational services contracting.
- Strong expertise in lease structures, landlord-tenant law, and real estate transactions across one or more jurisdictions.
- Proven ability to negotiate complex operational agreements such as facilities, outsourcing, consulting, and managed services contracts.
- Excellent business judgment with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make practical, risk-balanced decisions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent transactions under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
- High attention to detail, strong ownership mindset, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
- Collaborative and humble working style with the ability to operate effectively in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate leases, subleases, occupancy licenses, lease amendments, and related property agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Structure and negotiate a wide range of operational and professional services contracts, including facilities management, construction, outsourced operations, consulting, security, and vendor agreements.
- Advise senior stakeholders on legal, real estate, and operational risk matters, acting as a trusted partner to workplace, finance, security, and operations teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional functions such as procurement, tax, finance, and third-party risk to ensure alignment on global contracting and compliance standards.
- Identify legal, commercial, and operational risks in lease and vendor arrangements and develop pragmatic solutions that support business objectives.
- Manage outside counsel relationships globally and serve as an escalation point for complex legal matters.
- Develop and improve internal tools, playbooks, and processes to increase efficiency and consistency across high-volume workflows.
