Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in engineering management or technical leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading teams of 8+ engineers in enterprise SaaS environments.
- Strong technical background in modern software development (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, React, or Go).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices, and distributed systems architecture.
- Demonstrated experience integrating and scaling generative AI tools within engineering workflows.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and modern deployment tooling.
- Experience working in regulated environments such as healthcare IT, fintech, or similar is highly preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to use engineering metrics to guide decision-making.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 10–15 software engineers, overseeing performance, career development, hiring, onboarding, and retention.
- Define and evolve technical direction, ensuring architectural decisions align with scalability, security, and product requirements.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of enterprise SaaS solutions through sprint planning, roadmap execution, and capacity management.
- Promote engineering excellence through CI/CD maturity, automated testing, observability, and strong incident response practices.
- Champion the adoption of GenAI tools to enhance developer productivity and code quality.
- Establish best practices for secure and responsible AI usage across the software development lifecycle.
- Partner with product, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into executable engineering plans.
- Define and track engineering performance metrics, using data to improve delivery efficiency and quality outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare IT regulations and enterprise security standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Represent the engineering organization in executive forums, planning sessions, and cross-functional initiatives.
