Requirements
- 5+ years as an engineer in a role primarily focused on writing code.
- 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager of productive, motivated teams.
- Proven experience handling and processing transactional data at scale in a SOX-controlled environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams to ship industry-leading UX for high-stakes customer experiences.
- Strong technical background in custom tools for financial operations and financial reporting.
- Ability to operate without a playbook and define architecture, processes, and roadmaps.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to lead by setting context, facilitating collaboration, and obtaining cross-functional buy-in.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of software and data engineers who work AI-first by default.
- Own the technical vision for core financial systems, tools, and integrations.
- Ensure the financial automation stack accurately reads and translates data into general ledger and billing systems.
- Build and iterate tools to improve the quality and speed of financial data interactions.
- Define and deliver the go-forward architecture for financial automation in an agentic-focused environment.
- Perform code and architecture reviews while providing technical and design feedback.
- Provide regular performance feedback, conduct one-on-ones, and support career development for direct reports.
- Collaborate on build vs. buy decisions for technology vendors.
