Requirements
- 5+ years as an engineer in a role focused on writing code.
- 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager of productive teams.
- Proven experience handling and processing transactional data at scale in a SOX-controlled environment.
- Track record of leading teams to ship industry-leading UX.
- Ability to define architecture, ways of working, and roadmaps without a set playbook.
- Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Understanding of finance and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of technology industry frameworks and tools to guide build vs. buy decisions.
- Experience fostering inclusive and collaborative team environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of software and data engineers who work AI-first by default.
- Own the technical vision for SeatGeek’s core financial systems, custom tools, and SaaS integrations.
- Ensure the financial automation stack reads accurately from upstream systems and translates data into general ledger and billing systems.
- Define and deliver architecture to support agentic interactions within the financial stack.
- Perform code and architecture reviews while providing technical and design feedback.
- Provide ongoing performance feedback, one-on-ones, and career development support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in product, design, and engineering to resolve blocking issues.
