- 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager of productive, motivated teams.
- Proven experience processing transactional data at scale in a SOX-controlled environment.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
- Experience building custom tools to automate financial operations and reporting.
- Proven ability to define architecture, team processes, and roadmaps.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with build vs. buy decision-making for technology vendors.
- Proficiency in setting context and facilitating collaboration within engineering and product teams.
- Demonstrated ability to foster safe, collaborative, and inclusive environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of software and data engineers focused on AI-first development.
- Own the technical vision for core financial systems, tools, and integrations.
- Ensure the financial automation stack integrates seamlessly with upstream business tools and ledger systems.
- Define and deliver the architecture to handle agentic financial operations.
- Build and iterate tools to improve finance data quality and processing speed.
- Maintain accuracy, completeness, and operational excellence across the platform.
- Perform code and architecture reviews while providing technical feedback.
- Mentor direct reports through performance feedback and career development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to drive project alignment.
