Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and experience in defense sales, business development, military operations, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to independently build pipeline and close complex deals in government or defense sales environments.
  • Direct experience working with USMC customers, program offices, or operational military units strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Department of Defense acquisition processes and military operational structures.
  • Ability to manage multiple long-cycle opportunities simultaneously in a highly complex sales environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and operational stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate mission needs into solution-oriented commercial opportunities.
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance; active Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across USMC installations and program offices.
  • High level of autonomy, resilience, and results orientation in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the USMC go-to-market strategy, driving pipeline creation, opportunity development, and revenue growth across the full product portfolio.
  • Manage full sales cycle ownership from initial engagement through contract award, ensuring consistent progression toward bookings targets.
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of USMC opportunities, including program offices, operational units, and modernization initiatives.
  • Translate operational military needs into actionable procurement opportunities in collaboration with USMC stakeholders.
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with program managers, acquisition leaders, and operational decision-makers.
  • Lead opportunity strategy, including capture planning, requirements shaping, and proposal support in coordination with internal teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and program teams to align technical solutions with customer mission requirements.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline health tracking, and revenue projections for USMC accounts.
  • Drive adoption of deployed capabilities by supporting transition from evaluation to operational programs of record.
