Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building and shipping production-grade software or equivalent high-impact engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails and modern TypeScript/React development.
- Deep experience with relational databases, including schema design, query optimization, data modeling, and safe migrations.
- Proven experience integrating and maintaining external APIs in production, with attention to reliability, retries, and failure handling.
- Strong product intuition with the ability to evaluate trade-offs across user experience, technical constraints, and business impact.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics, logs, and dashboards to measure system and product performance.
- Experience operating autonomously in ambiguous, cross-functional environments with high ownership.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing technical design docs, RFCs, and incident postmortems.
- Experience working in regulated environments where privacy, security, and auditability are critical.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and modern engineering productivity tools.
- Preferred: experience with modular monoliths, event-driven systems, or regulated healthcare/PHI environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable full-stack solutions that improve acquisition, onboarding, and intake funnel performance across the platform.
- Identify high-impact opportunities in care discovery, assessment, and booking workflows, translating them into technical solutions that improve conversion and outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Marketing teams to define experiments, implement A/B testing frameworks, and evaluate growth initiatives.
- Build platforms, internal tools, and automation systems that enable faster iteration, improved decision-making, and reduced operational complexity.
- Analyze user behavior, system performance, and product metrics to identify friction points and validate the effectiveness of engineering solutions.
- Improve system architecture and engineering practices by mentoring peers, contributing to design reviews, and raising technical standards across the team.
- Develop integrations with external APIs and third-party partners, ensuring reliability, scalability, and observability in production systems.
- Contribute to simplifying complex healthcare workflows, including insurance, compliance, and care matching processes.
