Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data, with 3+ years in analytics engineering or a closely adjacent function.
- 5+ years of people management experience.
- Deep, hands-on expertise with dbt for production-grade projects.
- Strong proficiency in Snowflake, including query optimization, warehousing strategy, and cost management.
- Proven experience partnering with Finance, FP&A, or business operations teams.
- Fluency with Tableau or comparable BI tools.
- Track record of building and maintaining semantic/metrics layers and defining organizational standards.
- Strong communication skills with experience presenting to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Design and own a scalable, well-documented semantic layer serving as the authoritative source of truth for business metrics and KPIs.
- Establish data engineering best practices, modeling standards, and data quality controls.
- Own and evolve the dbt and Snowflake transformation layer, including CI/CD workflows and documentation.
- Drive data quality through automated testing, alerting, and observability practices.
- Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of analytics engineers.
- Partner with Finance leadership and Data Analysts to translate business needs into a modeling roadmap.
- Define the Business Analytics Engineering roadmap and communicate progress to senior leadership.
