Requirements
- Associate's Degree in drafting or high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.
- 10+ years of detailed wiring design experience.
- Expertise in development of single-line, relay, and metering diagrams.
- Experience with medium-voltage and 480V systems.
- Extensive AutoCAD and/or Microstation design experience.
- Familiarity with digital control systems.
- Thorough understanding of drafting and design practices and theories.
- Ability to conceptualize plans and details to convey wiring termination requirements.
- Capable of being badged for unescorted access to a nuclear station.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams on the design, modification, and upgrade of power plant electrical systems.
- Develop single-line, relay and metering, AC and DC schematic, synchronizing, and point-to-point wiring diagrams.
- Produce comprehensive electrical wiring drawings.
- Review and incorporate vendor drawings into overall project designs.
- Assist in field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities.
- Interface and communicate effectively with other engineering and design disciplines.
