Requirements
- 8+ years of professional electrical engineering design experience in the construction industry.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (Electrical) required and in good standing.
- Demonstrated experience acting as Engineer of Record (EOR) for electrical systems.
- Proven experience leading electrical design for data centers, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, or similar large-scale projects.
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams.
- In-depth knowledge of NFPA Standards, NEC, and international and national building codes.
- Advanced expertise in power distribution, standby and emergency systems, and generator control systems.
- Demonstrated experience producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies.
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to influence technical direction and support long-range organizational goals.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for electrical design on major projects, setting technical direction and ensuring design excellence.
- Perform and oversee complex electrical system design and calculations for power distribution, lighting, standby generation, and control systems.
- Review, sign, and seal engineering drawings and specifications.
- Provide quality assurance and technical oversight for submittals, RFIs, change orders, record drawings, and construction administration.
- Conduct site observations, inspections, and participate in commissioning activities.
- Develop and maintain technical standards, guidelines, and best practices for electrical design.
- Write and edit equipment specifications, select systems and devices, and coordinate with other design disciplines.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineering staff.
- Support business development and client engagement, including technical presentations and proposal input.
