Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in SLED capture, proposal, or business development leadership.
- Strong understanding of SLED procurement processes and state contracting mechanisms.
- Knowledge of cooperative purchasing models and funding sources.
- Proven experience leading teams and influencing across matrixed organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as APMP, Shipley, or PMP are preferred.
- Established network within SLED agencies or procurement communities is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute capture strategies for high-value SLED opportunities.
- Tailor capture approaches to diverse procurement models and funding sources.
- Oversee proposal development, schedules, resource allocation, and content quality.
- Lead, mentor, and scale SLED capture and proposal teams.
- Manage external proposal vendors, consultants, and strategic partners.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Engineering, Product, and Legal teams.
- Support executive-level engagement with SLED customers and procurement officials.
