Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in college counseling with a proven track record of student success.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership or mentorship capacity managing performance toward goals.
- Proficiency in managing employee capacity and sales/service matrices.
- Comfortable with data-driven decision-making and conducting performance reviews.
- Exceptional presence for public-facing webinars and presentations.
- Ability to provide high-level strategic feedback on student work.
- Experience in curating resources and creating templates or guides for team use.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana, AirTable, or Notion.
- Ability to foster psychological safety in a distributed or hybrid work environment.
- Preference for active membership or experience in NACAC, IECA, or HECA.
- Preference for experience in high-growth organizational structures.
Responsibilities
- Manage counselors to quarterly and annual performance outcomes, including capacity thresholds, sales targets, and scorecards.
- Conduct regular one-on-one sessions to discuss student progress, goals, and professional development.
- Review and provide quality control for student work, including college lists, essays, and academic plans.
- Collaborate with sales teams to communicate availability and maintain the sales/service matrix.
- Lead onboarding, training, and shadowing processes for new counseling staff.
- Maintain a personal student roster and guide them through the college search and application process.
- Develop and update counseling resources, templates, and guides for the entire team.
- Facilitate regular team calls, webinars, and events to share best practices and industry trends.
