Requirements
- Real production experience building with LLMs and agents.
- Deep judgment on grounding, retrieval, tool design, memory, latency, and safety.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Track record of setting technical direction and mentoring engineers.
- Ability to balance orchestration tasks with clear communication for stakeholders.
- Experience with agent frameworks and managed runtimes.
- Expertise in RAG, hybrid search, and reranking.
- Knowledge of LLM evaluation practices like golden sets and regression harnesses.
- Experience with LLM observability, cost tracking, and prompt caching.
Responsibilities
- Own agents end to end from prototype to production, including orchestrator design and response contracts.
- Design and maintain the production agent runtime for performance, multi-agent orchestration, and session state.
- Build the tool layer for agents, including retrieval, search, and system integrations.
- Implement a layered safety model including input/output guardrails and PII boundaries.
- Develop evaluation infrastructure using structured checks and LLM-as-judge methods.
- Instrument agents with session logging, traces, and token/cost visibility for debugging.
- Standardize patterns to turn agent functionality into a reusable internal platform.
- Set technical direction across codebases and provide mentorship to engineers.
