Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in customer service, mediation, emergency services, or Trust & Safety operations.
  • Experience in a contact center environment.
  • Ability to work weekend days, public holidays, and early morning/evening shifts.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with sensitive and potentially traumatic materials.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Basic computer literacy, including Apple/Mac OS and Google Suite.
  • Ability to organize a high volume of work and multitask.
  • Proactive, flexible, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Hospitality industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers across multiple channels including livechat, messaging, and phone.
  • Manage complex cases from end-to-end according to established workflows.
  • Recognize and assess threatening or risky behaviors.
  • Provide high-level service to the community while maintaining quality standards.
  • Document ways of working and best practices for the team.
  • Provide functional expertise to less experienced team members.
