Requirements
- 3+ years of combined technical leadership and engineering management experience.
- 8+ years building production backend services and applications.
- Hands-on experience with microservice architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Java, GoLang, Scala, or Rust.
- Proven track record in hiring, developing, and managing high-performing engineering teams.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and aligning stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical tradeoffs to executives.
- Demonstrated ability to drive ambiguous, open-ended problems to closure.
- Fluency with AI tools like Claude Code or Codex for planning, building, and debugging.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, technical roadmap, and production releases for the CORA product.
- Stay hands-on through architectural design, code review, and selective coding.
- Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of 5–6 engineers.
- Establish engineering standards, operational practices, and delivery rhythms for a greenfield product.
- Partner with product, ML, UX, and operations to translate requirements into scoped work.
- Drive platform decisions regarding extensibility, scalability, and security for regulated healthcare data.
- Define and report metrics demonstrating engineering and product impact to leadership.
