Requirements
- Demonstrated workplace proficiency in at least one or more programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, or similar)
- Degree in or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering
- Strong understanding of database design and modeling (e.g., PostgreSQL)
- Proven track record developing scalable systems and RESTful services
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes
- Understanding of automated testing, deployment processes, and tools
- Bias toward action and iterative development with frequent production deployments
- Ability to travel to our NYC office a few times a year
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, robust APIs in Golang that power our main applications
- Enforce best practices in coding, testing, and documentation across the team
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in both development and production environments
- Contribute to architectural discussions and strategic planning for our backend ecosystem
- Own code end-to-end with a focus on system performance and reliability
- Leverage data-driven insights to refine system performance and functionality
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to shape innovative features
