Requirements

  • Active North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of pharmacy technician and claim adjudication experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong interpersonal and phone communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a distraction-free environment with high-speed internet.
  • Ability to work a schedule starting as early as 7:45 AM or 8:00 AM EST.
  • Ability to sit or stand with focus at a workstation for long periods.
  • Commitment to obtaining additional required licensure if needed.
  • National CPhT certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively coordinate medication refills including data entry and pharmacy claim adjudication.
  • Make outbound patient refill phone calls and complete the patient refill request.
  • Answer, resolve, and triage inbound inquiries.
  • Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists and clinicians.
  • Identify medications requiring special storage or handling.
  • Manage and organize data using database applications.
  • Act as a value-added business partner to stakeholders.
