Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of experience in operations specific to procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or buying.
- Extensive experience in American fashion and apparel with the ability to follow brands and identify trends.
- Proven ability to evaluate product fit based on specific customer demographics.
- Strong research instincts and persistence in identifying quality options.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with digital tools, including CRM systems, knowledge bases, and spreadsheets.
- Nice to have: Background in fashion buying, retail merchandising, or product sourcing.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with wholesale apparel suppliers.
- Nice to have: Experience sourcing from overseas manufacturers or platforms like Alibaba.
- Nice to have: Knowledge of promotional products like drinkware, bags, and stationery.
Responsibilities
- Respond to product sourcing requests from the sales team by identifying options across domestic and overseas suppliers.
- Evaluate product recommendations based on availability, price, and aesthetic/demographic fit for the customer.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive supplier knowledge base.
- Conduct ongoing market research on brands and trends to understand customer preferences.
- Flag recurring product gaps and proactively identify solutions.
- Document sourcing knowledge to support team efficiency.
- Support outreach efforts to expand into new domestic and international product categories.
