Requirements
- 7+ years in apparel design with a portfolio showing exceptional taste and commercial success.
- Athleisure and/or Outerwear design experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Highly knowledgeable in textiles, garment construction, fit, and performance fabrics.
- Experience with performance-driven apparel including knits, puffers, and jackets.
- Ability to create detailed technical sketches, construction callouts, BOMs, and tech packs.
- Experience managing development calendars, vendor communication, and navigating production realities.
- Strong understanding of garment costing and timelines.
- Proficiency in PLM systems.
- Experience working in high SKU count, fast-paced environments.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Translate trend, cultural, competitive, and fabric insights into elevated, commercially successful product.
- Design across athleisure and outerwear categories with strong understanding of silhouette, proportion, comfort, functionality, and performance.
- Research emerging trends, fabrics, trims, washes, and white space opportunities.
- Create detailed tech packs, CADs, BOMs, and construction callouts for accurate execution.
- Partner closely with Fabric and Product Development and overseas vendors throughout development, fittings, proto reviews, and production.
- Participate in fittings and provide direction on fit, comfort, construction, and garment functionality.
- Develop seasonal color palettes and support cohesive assortment building.
- Create and manage visual line plans to support merchandising strategy and product flow.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, Product Development, and Production teams.
