Requirements
- 10+ years of Enterprise IT experience.
- 5+ years focused on the Epic platform within large, multi-facility health systems.
- Deep understanding of the Epic environment, Epic Cogito suite (Clarity, Caboodle, Reporting Workbench), interface engines (Bridges), and modern healthcare data exchange standards (HL7, FHIR).
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing Epic Environments (ODB, Interconnect, Hyper Space Web, BCA, Cogito stack).
- Experience with clinical system integrations (PACS, Labs, Interface Engines).
- Experience performing large-scale environment migrations such as hardware refreshes, data center moves, and cloud migrations.
- Strong consulting and business acumen.
- Ability to develop solutions on-the-fly in client-facing environments.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of enterprise organizations and internal IT functions.
- Epic Certifications are preferred.
- Knowledge of cloud-native design, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the architectural blueprint for the Epic platform, including ODBA, Hyperspace, Web Blob, Interconnect server tiers, and the Cogito stack.
- Advise healthcare organizations on best practices for architectural design and configuration to ensure 24/7/365 operational reliability.
- Design and implement complex, mission-critical enterprise-grade technical solutions.
- Develop high-quality technical and non-technical documentation and presentations for client leadership.
- Establish project estimates and plans, identify risks, and oversee solution development and delivery.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development to team members.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying business growth opportunities.
