Requirements
- 3-5 years of dedicated, hands-on experience in benefits administration and leave of absence management.
- Proven experience with multi-state leave administration, including paid leave laws, FMLA, ADA, and state-mandated programs.
- Strong command of federal and state employment laws: FMLA, ADA, ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, FLSA, and COBRA.
- Experience with ACA compliance, including tracking, reporting, and 1095-C coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to research complex legal requirements and translate them into actionable guidance.
- High level of proficiency with HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
- Sharp written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-directed work style with a habit of staying current on legislative updates.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Consistent high-speed internet access and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs including enrollments, life events, billing reconciliation, and carrier escalations.
- Manage end-to-end leave compliance for a multi-state workforce, including FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leave laws.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes across all U.S. jurisdictions to proactively update internal policies.
- Execute ACA tracking, reporting, and 1095-C preparation.
- Partner with People Ops, Finance, and Legal to ensure benefits and leave data accuracy within the HRIS.
- Facilitate the ADA interactive process and coordinate with third-party leave administrators and disability carriers.
- Support HR operations including performance review cycles, EEO-1 reporting, and offboarding documentation.
