Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the agency space, ideally within analytics, product, or hybrid digital marketing roles.
  • Proven track record of managing small teams and delivering high-impact data solutions with limited resources.
  • Hands-on technical proficiency with SQL, Python, DBT, and APIs.
  • Experience with data warehousing platforms such as BigQuery or Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of tracking architecture, including GA4, GTM, server-side tracking, and conversion APIs.
  • Experience building and implementing predictive modeling and forecasting tools.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a lean environment without large in-house engineering teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Ability to read and review application-layer code such as Node or React.
  • Preferred: Experience building internal performance insight platforms.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with AI tool implementation and managing contract/offshore resources.

Responsibilities

  • Own the evolution of Apollo, 829’s proprietary data centralization and management platform.
  • Develop and manage the product roadmap for data systems and AI-driven automation.
  • Lead technical direction and collaborate with engineers to deliver scalable improvements.
  • Identify and implement AI-driven workflows to reduce manual reporting and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee conversion tracking, ad-tracking, and analytics service delivery.
  • Build measurement frameworks, tagging schemas, and data governance processes.
  • Implement forecasting and predictive modeling tools to optimize client performance.
  • Manage a team of full-time specialists and contract labor while supporting talent development.
  • Serve as a member of the leadership team, promoting data-driven decision making and operational discipline.
