Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle month-end close ownership.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
- Hands-on experience reconciling high-volume transactions across multiple payment processors.
- Multi-entity accounting experience.
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
- Experience with cloud accounting or ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a high degree of ownership.
- Ability to operate with autonomy in a fast-moving, fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
- Reconcile complex, high-volume payment flows including merchant processing, chargebacks, and payouts.
- Maintain the general ledger across multiple legal entities.
- Produce accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Build and document scalable accounting processes and internal controls.
- Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support external accountants and auditors as a key contact.
- Help evaluate and implement accounting systems and automation.
- Mentor and lead the accounting team as the function grows.
