Requirements
- Professional experience in software engineering, specifically in data-focused roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
- Proficiency in data transformation concepts.
- Experience working with Postgres and modern data warehouses (Databricks preferred).
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate with user research stakeholders.
- Ability to break down complex projects into manageable technical tasks.
- Comfort using AI tools to evaluate and improve development workflows.
- Strong communication skills for internal platform advocacy and partnership.
- Available for occasional travel.
Responsibilities
- Define research questions and experiment with internal data to produce prototypes.
- Engage with internal and external users throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Develop, test, and implement data transformations using Python, Databricks, Postgres, and SQL.
- Partner with data scientists and engineers to identify and prioritize new data sources.
- Collaborate with platform teams to influence the development of pipelines, components, and APIs.
- Draft requirements documentation and proposals for new data product features.
- Provide technical feedback to shape the roadmap of the core data platform.
