Requirements

  • J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 10-15+ years of progressive experience in legal, compliance, regulatory, or risk management roles.
  • At least 3 years of experience advising organizations regarding commercial pharmaceutical products.
  • Expert knowledge of FDA advertising and promotion regulations and Good Promotional Practices.
  • Proven command of Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Sunshine Act, and HIPAA.
  • Familiarity with global anti-bribery laws such as the FCPA.
  • Demonstrated success in building and enhancing corporate compliance programs.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring compliance professionals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex regulatory concepts.
  • Strong writing skills for legal advice, policy drafting, and investigative reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and enhance the global compliance and ethics program, including policies and procedures.
  • Oversee compliance with FDA advertising and promotion regulations, ensuring marketing materials and product claims are compliant.
  • Maintain comprehensive compliance policies and SOPs regarding promotional practices, HCP engagement, and anti-bribery.
  • Execute regular compliance risk assessments, auditing plans, and monitoring activities to detect and mitigate risks.
  • Serve as the primary compliance advisor to leadership, supporting strategic initiatives and new product launches.
  • Manage internal investigation processes for reports of misconduct and oversee the company's confidential reporting hotline.
  • Implement and supervise compliance controls for third-party partners and international operations.
