Requirements
- 5–10 plus years of experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, or public accounting.
- Demonstrated experience in SEC reporting and complex accounting matters.
- Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Experience preparing and reviewing SEC filings such as Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
- Experience leveraging automation and AI tools for financial processes and control efficiency.
- Strong technical accounting research and memo writing skills.
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls frameworks.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze complex financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Consideration for advanced degrees such as a Master’s in Accounting and/or CPA.
Responsibilities
- Own and prepare complex sections of SEC filings by drafting disclosures and tying out supporting workpapers.
- Manage end-to-end financial reporting workstreams, coordinating timelines and validating inputs.
- Research and resolve complex technical accounting issues, documenting conclusions and recommending treatments.
- Develop technical accounting memos for leadership and audit review.
- Own and execute internal controls, designing and maintaining SOX compliance.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for auditors, coordinating requests and addressing technical questions.
- Evaluate new accounting standards, developing implementation plans for adoption.
