Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting production networks
- Proficiency with Linux and Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
- Solid understanding of routing and switching fundamentals (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, L2/L3 design)
- Understanding of network impact on system and application performance
- Strong collaboration skills for working across systems and hardware domains
- Automation mindset with scripting experience in Python or Bash
- Experience in low-latency or performance-sensitive environments (preferred)
- Experience with colocation, provider connectivity, and cross-connects (preferred)
- Experience with cloud connectivity solutions (preferred)
- Knowledge of PTP/NTP and timing-related failure modes (preferred)
- CCNP-level knowledge (SP, DC, or Enterprise) or equivalent experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate network connectivity for trading infrastructure across colocation sites and regions
- Deliver end-to-end network setups including cross-connects, routing, and validation testing
- Investigate and resolve complex network issues affecting latency, jitter, packet loss, or reliability
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in collaboration with systems and hardware engineers
- Support timing-sensitive networking (PTP/NTP) including monitoring and troubleshooting
- Manage connectivity to cloud providers
- Improve network repeatability through automation, templates, and tooling
- Contribute to operational readiness via runbooks, documentation, and incident reviews
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations
