Requirements
- Proven track record building agentic AI products in production.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of agentic architectures including context management, tool use, eval frameworks, RAG, and multi-step reasoning.
- Rigorous approach to AI quality, including evals, regression checks, human-in-the-loop review, and production monitoring.
- Experience managing engineering teams of 15+ people, including managing managers.
- Experience building teams from hiring through performance development.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills to align engineers, product managers, and executives.
- Discipline to prioritize and focus on defined product directions.
- Background as a hands-on ML or AI engineer is preferred.
- Experience with observability, distributed tracing, APM, or OpenTelemetry is a plus.
- Experience in high-growth, venture-backed startups is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own the Agent0 roadmap and partner closely with Product to drive execution.
- Maintain focus on customer value, filtering out non-essential AI research directions.
- Hire, mentor, and grow a team of senior AI and ML engineers, including managing managers.
- Set rigorous standards for production-grade AI, including evaluation pipelines, testing strategies, and monitoring.
- Build proofs of concept to turn AI landscape insights into concrete product decisions.
- Champion AI production excellence and establish internal standards for AI-assisted system operation.
