Requirements
- 7–10 years in RCM leadership or customer-facing revenue operations within MSK, orthopedic, or procedural specialties.
- Hands-on experience managing third-party billing vendors, including SLA enforcement and escalation resolution.
- Deep working knowledge of full-cycle RCM: front-end eligibility and authorization through back-end denial management.
- Strong working knowledge of coding and billing, specifically CPT, ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS Level II, and modifier usage.
- Ability to diagnose coding-related revenue issues.
- Proficiency in building and interpreting RCM dashboards (days in AR, denial rate, clean claim rate).
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects independently.
- Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with common EHRs, practice management systems, and clearinghouses.
- Professional coding certification (CPC, CCS, COC) or Health Information Management degree preferred.
- Specialty credentials like COSC or CASCC preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and own customer success processes with a focus on RCM operations for MSK practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for RCM-related questions, issues, and escalations.
- Manage and monitor third-party billing partner relationships, ensuring adherence to SLAs and performance benchmarks.
- Oversee front-end RCM operations including prior authorizations and insurance eligibility verification.
- Monitor back-end RCM operations such as AR work-down, denial management, appeals, and collections.
- Create and present monthly reports demonstrating impact on clinical and financial outcomes.
- Identify revenue leakage and reimbursement gaps, collaborating with customers to remediate issues.
