Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of total professional engineering experience.
- 3+ years of direct people management experience.
- Proven experience managing teams of 5+ engineers through the delivery of complex production software.
- Strong technical background with the ability to participate in architectural and code review discussions.
- Demonstrated track record of hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers across various seniority levels.
- Experience leading software delivery within regulated environments such as healthcare or finance.
- Willingness to quickly ramp up on HIPAA constraints and PHI-handling systems.
- Preferred: Prior experience managing multiple teams or concurrent workstreams.
- Preferred: Familiarity with agentic coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot agents.
- Preferred: Background in healthcare technology or EHR integration.
- Preferred: Experience running internal developer enablement or platform-adoption initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow two engineering teams, totaling approximately 7 engineers, including coaching, career development, and performance management.
- Drive AI Enablement team execution against the AI Unlock program, including marketplace, installer, gateway, and education initiatives.
- Manage EHR Agents team execution on clinical and administrative workflow automation, specifically Athena lab-ordering and G-code billing roadmaps.
- Coordinate cross-team delivery, manage dependencies, and facilitate operational rhythms such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Oversee hiring and onboarding for 4 net-new AI Enablement roles and backfills for the EHR Agents team.
- Communicate progress, risks, and requirements to AI Platform & Innovation leadership and the broader technology organization.
