Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 2+ years of experience leading and mentoring engineers (Team Lead, Tech Lead, or Manager).
- Proficiency in modern web stacks such as Ruby on Rails, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
- Deep understanding of scalability, infrastructure automation, and platform security.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI-enabled development tools and agentic engineering approaches.
- Proven experience designing and delivering broadly scoped technical initiatives.
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments with shifting priorities.
- Experience with SaaS security and compliance practices such as SOC2 and vulnerability management is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 4+ engineers, including performance reviews, growth planning, and mentorship.
- Own team hiring, scope roles, and facilitate interview processes.
- Define team roadmap, prioritize initiatives, and translate business strategy into technical execution.
- Guide the team through ambiguous technical projects, such as major refactors or new service launches.
- Promote and implement AI-native engineering standards and tools like Claude Code.
- Ensure production system stability, on-call participation, and adherence to security/compliance standards (SOC2).
