Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field.
7 to 10+ years of progressive tax and compliance experience.
Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance requirements.
Experience supporting multi-state and multi-jurisdiction organizations.
Experience managing relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
Experience coordinating tax compliance activities across multiple legal entities or jurisdictions.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to operate independently and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred: CPA, MST, or equivalent professional certification.
Preferred: Experience with NetSuite ERP and Taxware.

Responsibilities

Own and oversee U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance activities.
Manage sales and use tax compliance, registrations, filings, and reporting requirements.
Oversee tax compliance activities for the Canadian subsidiary in coordination with external advisors.
Manage indirect tax compliance, including VAT, GST, HST, PST, and similar international obligations.
Partner with Accounting leadership to support international expansion, including entity formation and licensing.
Develop, implement, and maintain tax and compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Drive process improvement and automation initiatives for tax activities.
Serve as the primary internal resource for tax and compliance matters across the organization.
