Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems.
- Knowledge of inventory costing methodologies (weighted average costing preferred).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Pursuing a professional accounting designation (CPA) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Record transactions in the general ledger to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications.
- Review and process employee expense reports per company policies.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory costing activities including weighted average costing methodologies.
- Monitor and analyze inventory cost variances.
- Prepare financial reports and schedules for month-end and year-end close.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required schedules.
