Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 3-5 years of dedicated process engineering experience in power generation or heavy energy systems.
  • Practical experience with gas turbines, steam turbines, and/or reciprocating engines.
  • Proficiency with Aspen HYSYS, HTRI, EDR, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid systems, and industrial plant utility dynamics.
  • Experience in industrial plants, utilities, large-scale EPC environments, or heavy infrastructure projects.
  • Safety-first mindset with experience supporting or facilitating HAZOP and LOPA studies.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for site visits and project meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review comprehensive process designs for power generation systems including gas turbines, steam turbines, and reciprocating engines.
  • Analyze and validate PFDs, P&IDs, heat and mass balances, and complex equipment sizing calculations.
  • Support system integration covering fuel systems, cooling infrastructure, exhaust networks, and advanced emissions controls.
  • Analyze plant performance data to identify operational inefficiencies and maximize reliability.
  • Conduct heat rate analysis, efficiency studies, and structural operational benchmarking.
  • Participate in FEED, detailed design, commissioning, and multidisciplinary engineering workflows.
  • Facilitate HAZOP and LOPA studies to ensure project safety, operability, and maintainability.
