Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in machine learning engineering.
- Demonstrated technical lead ownership of at least two major ML platform domains (e.g., distributed training, cloud inference, or feature engineering).
- Proven record of shipping end-to-end ML-powered features with measurable business impact.
- Hands-on expertise with Ray and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Spark experience is strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of ML fundamentals including evaluation methodology, dataset design, and model drift.
- Ability to review and redirect modeling approaches while bridging the gap between research and engineering.
- Demonstrated cross-organizational technical leadership and ability to influence roadmaps based on throughput, latency, and cost trade-offs.
Responsibilities
- Set the technical strategy and own end-to-end delivery of the ML platform, spanning training, experimentation, and inference.
- Drive the design, launch, and iteration of Safety AI features while co-owning performance metrics and reliability.
- Design and operate scalable online and batch inference systems using tools like Ray and Spark.
- Partner with firmware and edge teams to package, validate, and deploy models, while building feedback loops.
- Own reliability, observability, and security for ML systems across cloud and edge, including incident response.
- Act as the technical authority for ML infrastructure, setting architecture direction and mentoring senior engineers.
