Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in SQL Server Database Administration.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of source/change control, bug tracking, SDLC, and relational database integration.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
- Ability to document, explain, and present tasks and processes.
- Comfort working both individually and in group project environments.
- Experience with data warehouses (ideal).
- Experience with AWS RDS for PostgreSQL (ideal).
- Experience with cloud environments such as Azure or AWS (ideal).
- Prior federal consulting or professional services experience (ideal).
Responsibilities
- Administer Microsoft SQL Server including replication, backup/restore, capacity planning, and reporting/analysis services.
- Migrate databases from SQL Server 2012 to 2016.
- Plan, execute, and configure new hardware and software systems.
- Optimize SQL performance through monitoring and tuning.
- Deploy and support Microsoft technologies including Visual Studio, VB.NET, and ASP.NET.
- Configure virtual machines using VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Perform regular full and incremental backups of web, application, and database servers.
