Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of experience in operations specific to procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or buying
- Experience in American fashion and apparel with the ability to follow brands and identify trends
- Ability to evaluate product fit by customer demographic and specific use-cases
- Strong research instincts and persistence in identifying high-quality options
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Comfortable working with CRM systems, knowledge bases, and spreadsheets
- Background in fashion buying, retail merchandising, or product sourcing (nice to have)
- Familiarity with wholesale apparel suppliers (nice to have)
- Experience sourcing from overseas manufacturers or platforms like Alibaba (nice to have)
- Knowledge of promotional products such as drinkware, bags, stationery, and accessories (nice to have)
Responsibilities
- Respond to product sourcing requests from the sales team, finding the best possible options across domestic suppliers and overseas manufacturers
- Evaluate recommendations based on availability, price, and product fit regarding aesthetic, demographic, and use-case requirements
- Build and maintain a supplier knowledge base covering brand positioning and product specializations
- Conduct regular market research on brands, trends, and retail aesthetics
- Identify recurring product gaps and proactively find solutions
- Document sourcing knowledge for team reference
- Support outreach to new overseas manufacturers and domestic suppliers
