Requirements
- 3+ years of SQL development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with T-SQL (Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views)
- Experience developing and supporting PostgreSQL databases
- Working knowledge of PL/pgSQL
- Familiarity with SQL Server to PostgreSQL conversion patterns
- Ability to review, interpret, and remediate AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT) output
- Experience performing functional, data, and performance validation
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Experience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) execution and validation
- Knowledge of SSIS package and SSRS report development and migration concepts
- Familiarity with ETL migration and modernization initiatives
Responsibilities
- Convert SQL Server database objects (Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views) to PostgreSQL-compatible implementations
- Analyze and remediate migration findings identified through assessment and conversion tools
- Address SSIS (.dtsx) and SSRS (.rdl) compatibility and conversion issues
- Interpret AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT) output and implement required manual remediation
- Execute functional validation and testing of converted database objects
- Support performance testing and tuning efforts
- Validate data synchronization and migration accuracy
- Collaborate with database architects, migration leads, and application modernization teams
- Document conversion decisions, remediation approaches, and testing outcomes
