Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
- 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Prior experience in a Cardiology setting.
- Experience providing virtual care to patients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
- Comfort and proficiency with new technology.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process warm patient hand-offs from internal and external transfers.
- Verify patient contact information and medical history.
- Schedule physician visits and follow-up appointments.
- Perform medication reconciliation and coordinate lab and diagnostic arrangements.
- Prepare patients for visits, including ensuring technical connectivity and obtaining signed consents.
- Chart preparation and documentation of symptoms and vitals.
- Maintain ongoing communication with providers regarding patient status.
- Confirm upcoming appointments via telephone.
