Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in professional learning or educational services leadership.
  • At least 5+ years managing a strategic function or P&L at Director level or above.
  • Proven experience building, scaling, and leading high-performing teams, with strong capability in organizational design, talent development, and coaching.
  • Deep expertise in adult learning theory, literacy instruction, and the K–12 education landscape.
  • Executive-level understanding of instructional best practices.
  • Strong experience leveraging data and systems (e.g., LMS, Salesforce or similar platforms) to inform strategy and drive P&L performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and present multi-year strategic plans, budget forecasts, and performance insights to executive stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% as required.
  • Preferred: experience in edtech, digital learning environments, or scaling instructional services in complex K–12 ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full Professional Learning strategy and P&L, ensuring programs drive measurable impact on customer retention, product adoption, and revenue growth.
  • Build, scale, and develop a high-performing team of Professional Learning Managers, including organizational design, leadership development, and performance management.
  • Define and oversee the metrics framework for the function, tracking team performance, content effectiveness, and customer outcomes, with regular reporting to executive leadership.
  • Lead the design and evolution of professional learning content grounded in adult learning theory, literacy instruction, and evidence-based educational research.
  • Ensure professional learning offerings are aligned with customer needs, product evolution, and go-to-market strategy in partnership with Product, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Develop a multi-year delivery strategy that embeds professional learning across the customer lifecycle to improve engagement, adoption, and long-term retention.
  • Partner with Customer Success and Sales to position professional learning as a driver of expansion, renewal, and measurable educational outcomes.
  • Own vendor relationships, contracts, and budget planning to ensure efficient spend and strong return on investment.
