Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a Business Development role, ideally within SaaS.
- Experience focused on delivering solutions related to higher education or health professional education.
- Exposure to digital transformation utilizing SaaS solutions and services.
- Proven understanding of commercial decision-making and experience negotiating with prospective customers.
- Ability to build a pipeline of qualified opportunities and develop strategic growth plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to devise commercial, technical, and creative solutions.
- Clear, concise, and consistent communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Strong time management, prioritization, and goal-setting abilities.
- Curiosity and experience utilizing AI tools to improve workflows.
- Desirable: Knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand education and business landscape.
- Desirable: Experience with Monday.com for process oversight.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategies to attract new prospects in both new and current markets via outbound campaigns and direct outreach.
- Identify new market opportunities and potential customer groups through comprehensive market research.
- Establish and nurture connections with potential customers and industry influencers.
- Drive lead conversion from initial contact through to commercial proposal and contract signature.
- Prepare tailored, high-quality commercial proposals and collaborate with the Technical Sales team on competitive bids.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Technical Sales, and Customer Success teams to share insights and ensure smooth implementation handovers.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and log all activities in the CRM.
