Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a Business Development role, ideally within SaaS.
  • Experience focused on delivering solutions related to higher education or health professional education.
  • Exposure to digital transformation utilizing SaaS solutions and services.
  • Proven understanding of commercial decision-making and experience negotiating with prospective customers.
  • Ability to build a pipeline of qualified opportunities and develop strategic growth plans.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to devise commercial, technical, and creative solutions.
  • Clear, concise, and consistent communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and goal-setting abilities.
  • Curiosity and experience utilizing AI tools to improve workflows.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand education and business landscape.
  • Desirable: Experience with Monday.com for process oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to attract new prospects in both new and current markets via outbound campaigns and direct outreach.
  • Identify new market opportunities and potential customer groups through comprehensive market research.
  • Establish and nurture connections with potential customers and industry influencers.
  • Drive lead conversion from initial contact through to commercial proposal and contract signature.
  • Prepare tailored, high-quality commercial proposals and collaborate with the Technical Sales team on competitive bids.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Technical Sales, and Customer Success teams to share insights and ensure smooth implementation handovers.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and log all activities in the CRM.
