Requirements
- 5+ years of backend or full-stack software engineering experience.
- Skilled at building systems with high levels of complexity and intricate business logic.
- Experience developing state-of-the-art agentic workflows involving disparate systems and tools.
- Experience working in a remote-first team.
- Passion for technical collaboration, including RFCs, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
- Hands-on familiarity with enterprise integrations: SSO, SCIM-based provisioning, audit logs, MFA, and delegated access.
- Strategic mindset balancing business goals with engineering excellence.
- Proficiency with TypeScript and GraphQL.
- Experience with relational databases (Postgres) and Redis.
- Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Terraform, Helm).
Responsibilities
- Build and extend Hex’s API and CLI to enable powerful, ergonomic workflows for technical users.
- Design MCP server and client implementations to expand product entry points.
- Design and implement a next-generation access control system including RBAC, approval flows, and tiered admin roles.
- Own full-stack product changes end-to-end, from backend policy enforcement to admin-facing workflows.
- Propose and implement well-architected, scalable systems in collaboration with the broader team.
