Engineering at Hex Technologies

Hex's platform is a sophisticated web-based notebook and app authoring environment. Engineers craft robust solutions for data collaboration. The frontend uses TypeScript and React with Apollo GraphQL and Redux for managing state. On the backend, TypeScript powers an Express/Apollo GraphQL server interacting with Postgres, Redis, and Kubernetes. Infrastructure and CI/CD are managed with Terraform, Helm, and AWS. Engineers here solve challenging problems in systems architecture, API design, and deep performance optimization. You'll work on everything from seamless data interoperability with DuckDB to intelligent caching systems. This team builds the core compute platform, ensuring it's both performant and easy to develop on.
