Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-time experience working directly with electric utilities
  • BA/BS, or equivalent experience, in engineering, business, or a relevant field
  • Significant domain expertise in Power Grids, Power systems, Energy Markets, T&D assets, or Grid modernization
  • Proven track record of empathy, individual initiative, and solutions-orientation
  • Attention to detail and ability to function effectively under time pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent work ethic
  • Proficiency with Hubspot
  • Comfort with remote collaboration tools
  • Ability to travel when necessary

Responsibilities

  • Bring a rolodex of contacts from investor-owned, municipal, and cooperative utilities across North America
  • Create sustainable long-term relationships by providing win-win business solutions to utility clients
  • Develop new leads for prospective utility clients and inform regional priorities
  • Own key relationships with utility leaders focused on grid modernization, infrastructure inspections, and operations
  • Attend and present at select trade shows and conferences
  • Write formal project proposals and develop presentation slides
  • Negotiate contracts through final execution
  • Coach SDRs on nurturing leads and fostering a stronger pipeline
  • Maintain Hubspot and keep stakeholders appraised on sales activities
