Requirements
- 5+ years of full-time experience working directly with electric utilities
- BA/BS, or equivalent experience, in engineering, business, or a relevant field
- Significant domain expertise in Power Grids, Power systems, Energy Markets, T&D assets, or Grid modernization
- Proven track record of empathy, individual initiative, and solutions-orientation
- Attention to detail and ability to function effectively under time pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent work ethic
- Proficiency with Hubspot
- Comfort with remote collaboration tools
- Ability to travel when necessary
Responsibilities
- Bring a rolodex of contacts from investor-owned, municipal, and cooperative utilities across North America
- Create sustainable long-term relationships by providing win-win business solutions to utility clients
- Develop new leads for prospective utility clients and inform regional priorities
- Own key relationships with utility leaders focused on grid modernization, infrastructure inspections, and operations
- Attend and present at select trade shows and conferences
- Write formal project proposals and develop presentation slides
- Negotiate contracts through final execution
- Coach SDRs on nurturing leads and fostering a stronger pipeline
- Maintain Hubspot and keep stakeholders appraised on sales activities
