Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Current, active, unencumbered compact RN license with multi-state privileges.
- Residency in a compact state.
- 4+ years of experience in a hospital and/or healthcare practice serving maternal-child health populations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Proficiency in Spanish.
- Ability to work three 12-hour overnight shifts per week (9:00 PM to 9:00 AM EST).
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfortable working remotely via video, phone, and text.
- Understanding of birth inequity and the impact of structural racism on maternal health outcomes.
- Flexible and agile mindset.
Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing clinical and psychosocial assessment of new patients, providing reassurance and building rapport.
- Identify and address barriers to care as reported by patients or the care team.
- Reduce care gaps, such as missed appointments and medication management, through frequent personalized engagement.
- Assess the need for and educate patients on remote health monitoring equipment.
- Respond timely to abnormal diagnostic results including labs and radiology.
- Assess urgent concerns and proactively triage patients to ensure appropriate use of emergency services.
- Document all care and interactions timely and escalate to multidisciplinary teams as needed.
- Contribute to program and product development by providing user feedback.
