- Experience
- 7 years of Nursing experience AND 5 years of experience in the inpatient acute care setting (or 11 years for GED holders)
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse license.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Seven years of nursing experience, including five years in an inpatient acute care setting (or 11 years of inpatient acute care experience with a High School Diploma/GED).
- CCDS, CCS, or CDIP certification.
- Seven years of clinical documentation experience as an auditor/DRG validator.
- Strong knowledge of auditing practices, ICD-10, and PCS guidelines.
- Strong knowledge of MS-DRG and APR DRG methodologies.
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.
- Requirement to travel to a company location for initial on-site onboarding (for start dates on or after October 1st, 2025).
Responsibilities
- Perform audit tasks related to medical record coding, documentation, compliance, and DRG assignment.
- Collaborate with internal coding and clinical team members.
- Engage with external clients, including content creation as needed.
- Participate in relevant corporate programs and initiatives.
- Ensure all work complies with professional, quality, and security standards.
- Maintain compliance with corporate policies and procedures consistent with company values.
