Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of investigative experience, preferably at a major technology or travel company.
- Intermediate SQL proficiency, including the ability to edit and write simple to semi-complex queries.
- Proven experience in trust & safety, fraud detection, or risk management within a user-centric platform.
- Experience with data analysis tools and techniques for risk management.
- Experience crafting and delivering comprehensive intelligence reports on threats and actor behaviors.
- Ability to conduct deep-dive, specialist investigations interrogating both technical and behavioral signals.
- Experience managing projects with organization-wide implications across multiple locations and time zones.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work holidays, weekends, or evenings during high-profile or emergency events.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of offline risk factors such as human trafficking and organized crime.
- Use internal data, OSINT, and third-party intelligence to investigate undiscovered instances of abuse.
- Extract actionable insights from large datasets to develop criminal mitigation strategies.
- Communicate investigation findings to management and product teams to enhance decision-making.
- Collaborate with trust product and engineering teams to implement safety risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead complex investigations involving large datasets and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Develop and integrate investigative frameworks into existing trust practices.
- Contribute to the refinement of automated monitoring systems and enforcement policies.
