Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, commercial strategy, and marketing in a related industry for professional services.
- Previous experience in engineering consulting is an asset.
- Proven ability to lead high-value negotiations and build long-term partnerships.
- Experience establishing and managing strategic partnerships with key industry players.
- High proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport and effective relationships.
- Ability to analyze data and sales statistics.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow relationships with existing utility and OEM clients, identifying cross-selling opportunities for the full portfolio of products and services.
- Proactively identify and engage potential target clients within the utility and OEM market to expand the customer base.
- Develop and execute strategic business development initiatives based on market trends and competitive intelligence.
- Lead the coordination and execution of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders.
- Conduct market analysis on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to provide strategic recommendations.
- Lead the development of business cases for new services and offerings.
- Represent the company at conferences, meetings, and industry events, with approximately 25-50% travel.
