Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, commercial strategy, and marketing in a related industry for professional services.
  • Previous experience in engineering consulting is an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead high-value negotiations and build long-term partnerships.
  • Experience establishing and managing strategic partnerships with key industry players.
  • High proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport and effective relationships.
  • Ability to analyze data and sales statistics.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing utility and OEM clients, identifying cross-selling opportunities for the full portfolio of products and services.
  • Proactively identify and engage potential target clients within the utility and OEM market to expand the customer base.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development initiatives based on market trends and competitive intelligence.
  • Lead the coordination and execution of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders.
  • Conduct market analysis on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to provide strategic recommendations.
  • Lead the development of business cases for new services and offerings.
  • Represent the company at conferences, meetings, and industry events, with approximately 25-50% travel.
