Requirements
- 1 - 2 years of professional experience as a software developer/engineer.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and experience integrating tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
- Experience developing user interfaces with React.
- Experience developing web applications with Rails, Django, or NodeJS.
- Comfort working with SQL databases.
- Ability and eagerness to constantly learn and teach others.
- Must currently live in DC, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Vermont, or Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality software across the full stack.
- Support and collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
- Review and debug code to ensure quality.
- Apply Civis best practices methodology and enforce design standards.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and archived.
- Research, prototype, and recommend software solutions.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization.
- Engage with projects on both emotional and technical levels.
